Restoration
Our furniture is subjected to a gentle restoration under the greatest possible conservation aspects. By dissolving the damaged old shellac polishes with spirits and subsequent application of a large number of shellac polish layers by hand, an improper, substance-impairing surface treatment, for example by sanding the veneers and applying artificial varnishes, is deliberately avoided. The aim is to preserve as large parts as possible of the grown historical patina.
All loosened glues of the carrier wood and the veneer are carried out in bone glue according to the time of origin of the furniture. The upholstery of the seating furniture is done according to traditional methods.
We also gladly accept restoration orders for historical furniture. After a previous inspection of the pieces at your place, we will provide a cost estimate, pick up your furniture nationwide and deliver on time after successful restoration.
